In the world between transforming or imitating

somehow i think all of this entire art world makes me insane..
the border line between who imitate who, who copy who, is the question that will never stop questioned by the artists or designers themselves, and for the entire visual people of course. For me, it does not really matter of who imitate who, because I swear, people who did copy other's work would not do as beautiful, as sincere and pure as the founder them self.

Just be honest with our self as a designers, that we actually, memorize all of visual or verbal memories that we saw and hear to create something new that represent our own signature style. I believe that each of good designers have different technique and approach to develop their very own original style - which is shaped, transformed, influenced, by the things around them.

and i would say it is about 'TIMING'. Have you ever think, if only you invented something, but you haven't share it with someone else, then in the other society, a person called "mr.A" launch it before you. And, BOOM! there you are, when you finally share your invention up online, people would think that you copy mr.A. and sometimes you just can't say anything about it. Just a silence and felt stupid about it. Because you know, no matter what you do to make things clear, people are just people, world is just as tough as it should, and people would don't care the history behind it, they just care of what they see firstly.

So, can we just make fun of this term of plagiarism?
This book "STEAL LIKE AN ARTIST" by Austin Kleon reveal the most sensitive side of how designers actually copy to develop their work and use a word research and inspired by.. instead of plagiarism. But in a funny way, i mostly agree with him.
What do you think?
